I did not choose our accommodation by chance. ECO BAKIGA LODGE . Without food somehow, but without WATER NOT AT ALL! Happiness, help and support is the most beautiful feeling for the heart and soul. Bakiga Lodge is part of the Community PROJECT and as such all profits from our accommodation in the lodge help in the development and construction of wells, construction of pipes and shared water tanks to help rural communities get water. So far, more than 183,000 people have been helped to have access to water today.

Water is not just a physical necessity; it serves as a powerful metaphor for life itself. It teaches us about adaptability, persistence, and the importance of nurturing our environment. These quotes remind us to appreciate water’s role in our lives and the lessons it imparts about resilience and flow. Whether in moments of calm or turbulence, water reflects the journey of life, encouraging us to embrace change and continue moving forward.

DAY 7 GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI AND VISIT TO THE BATWA COMMUNITY

Early breakfast as it is time to head to the BWINDI NP headquarters for a mandatory briefing before we begin our search for the rare mountain gorillas. The time spent in the forest depends on the gorillas’ movements. Once we find these magnificent mountain gorillas, we are allowed to enjoy their company under the watchful eye of a ranger for 1 hour, taking photos (no flash). Believe me, meeting, experiencing, interacting with these magnificent gentle yet powerful mountain grazers is an experience of a lifetime. After the trek, freshen up and visit the Batwa community to learn more about their way of life. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 BWINDI NP BAKIGA LODGE After breakfast, we will slowly transfer and drive to Entebbe, during which we will set foot on the Uganda Equator, visit more interesting places, I don’t have to tell you everything 🙂 and we will slowly arrive at the moment of arrival at Entebbe international airport and time for hugs, tears, goodbyes….
